LO1 Example of a music video with both narrative and performance

 

This is an interesting case as the music video on its own is just clips of the artist performing the song and singing the lyrics. However, there is a narrative that happens in the background that shows how the Artists 'Young Thug' never showed up for the shoot, so the director needed to shoot shots without him. It constantly cuts away from clips in an unconventional way to focus on the narrative as the director talks to us in a mocking and comedic tone while making fun of the main Artist for not being there. This is an example of a narrative performance music video which uses both ideas to create a unique music video that represents the song to the fullest extent.
