LO1 Wyclef Jeans by young thug and the 6 codes of convention by Andrew Goodwin
1.A relationship between the video and lyrics. In the first picture the lyrics consist of "we back to back in the phantom" while it cuts to a car which is referred ton as a phantom in hip-hop. through the second video the lyrics are saying "i don't want no foreign cars" as it cuts to other sets of cars even toy cars.
3.As you can see the song Octane sex rarely subvert the assets for a rap music video. Through the expectation of women in the music video as it doesn't have women in it. even with this the song just consists of the artist/rapper dancing (performing) to the audience. however the other sound Wyclef Jean completely subverts the genre as normally during a music video it would be mainly performance with women and other shots. The narrative of the song consists of the artists Young Thug not appearing to the shoot meaning that the the production team could only use B roles and all of the shots they were going to do could not be done. It is unknown if it is true or false that he actually didn't appear on shoot but this idea allowed many jokes and made it extremely popular due to its narrative.
4. Gnar's song has many close ups of him performing as it is a regular rap song. while because Young Thugs song is a parody of Hip Hop music videos as he mocks the close up shots while performing as while doing it he eats Cheetos and does seem to attempt a try. In doing this Young Thug gained a representation and this managed to promote his recognisable brand back in 2016.
5. In relation to women and Voyerism Young Thugs song uses this to an abundances as alot of the lines in the song relate to sexualising women and what he does with women. so the video constantly shows off models in sexual clothing, bikinis and ect plus even shows ideas that were going to be used as shots in the video.
