LO2 Proposal Breif

Image
The Eternity music video Produced, directed and shot by Ellis, Reece, Toby, and Adil  Once forming our group our first task was to seek out permission to create a music video from the artist that created the original song. So I began emailing the artists in hopes he would reply back with thumbs u for our project, this turned out to be rather simple as the Artists is mostly still underground and their music hasn't been recognised as of yet; the screenshot below proves this.  I also knew the artist personally so asking him wouldn't have been a massively hard task.  Overview of the product: We are planning on making our audio visual product performance only, while featuring Ellis dancing and mimicking the lyrics that are featured in the song. The length of the music video will be 2:33 which is the length of the original song. Our goal is to increase the artists overall target audience by distributing the product on Youtube and other services similar to Youtube. The locations...

LO3 Report-Production

After failing to obtain an area to film at the Rovers stadium we had to look for areas that were around town for the music video. This included different alleyways and even behind the Savoy cinema. However, we eventually chose an underground carpark that is near the UTC college. This stuck with our original theming and proved to be a better choice as the grimy dark car park fit the dark nature that is shown within the lyrics of the song. While we have not yet gotten a written consent from from the owner, we were able to obtain verbal consent from him and he let us film without any hassle. While there we were smart enough to take our precautions into action and make sure that we didn't get hurt or damage any equipment while there. This seemed to be difficult with our group especially with the fact that we have broken equipment in the past. Even with this handicap we managed to finish filming that day and without any SD failures.  We also filmed in outside areas and around sprotborou...

LO2 Report- Legal and ethical issues associated with my product

Image
Due to VOD content increasing in popularity and music television programmes having decreased in viewership, we have no need to censor content for a tv programme like MTV as Youtube allows the use of offensive words in music videos. However our music will still be regulated by the BBFC so our content can be viewed via tv programmes like MTV or on radio stations. Even still we may need to censor some offensive language to ensure we do not offend different groups, This may cause us to create both an uncensored and censored version of the song that we can upload to ensure a wider audience can also listen to the song. Ellis's song may also be used to represent our college so we should definitely make sure any offensive words that can effect how people see us are not used to ensure that we offend the least amount of people and bring the reputation of the college up. The contents of the song do reference illegal activities and things that may be censored by the BBFC, so to prevent this th...

LO2/LO3 Risk assessment

Image
Above me is the risk assessment that shows all the potential risks that may effect the state of production for the final product. Stating these in a document allow us to be more in tune and aware of our surroundings when filming the music video.

LO1 music video conventions with Rob's Speranza

Four important things to note for a music video  1.is it creative and original 2.the production quality 3.its market ability  4. its expression and how effectively the video is to the audience  Ornaments: 1.it was original and the idea was simple that related to the song. mise on scene was very obvious and it related a lot to female struggles and how she is rebelling from the uptight misogynistic hierarchy. 2.sharp camera and 60fps this helps her direct to us. 3.women empowerment  4.effectivness as she tells her opinion which helps us connect with her.  singer will look at the camera and the audience because they perform to their audience to connect with them, creating a vibe between the audience/viewer and the singer. non artists performer doesn't look towards the camera. Camera Activity  .music videos are often not still or static they move with the rhythm or pace with to match with the tune  .they would use a Jib/Crane/Ronin/Drone and Osmo (an osmo ...

LO2 location planning contingency plan

Unfortunately we were unable to film at the car park near the Rovers stadium. So instead we got verbal permission from the owner of an underground carpark in town and we filmed there. Also while out with friends we were able to film some shots of all os us as a group in sprotborough falls.
